If you believe someone is stalking you and you have evidence, please open a ticket and we'll investigate. We take these matters serious.

Here are some steps you can take to protect your privacy and what happens with each:

1. Restrict a member
        - This will block the member from messaging & following you.
        - The member will see a message, "Unable to follow. {member_name} is not accepting followers at the moment."
2. Report a member
        - This will send us an abuse report and the team will investigate.
        - We will not contact the reported user unless it's required.

3. Adjust your Privacy Settings on your Edit Profile page: https://www.happycow.net/members/profile/edit
        - "Hide my profile from search results" will keep you out of the member search results
        - "Turn off messages from members I don’t follow" will make it so nobody can contact you unless you already follow them.

4. From the same Edit Profile page you may also change your member name. (https://www.happycow.net/members/profile/update/username)
        - For maximum anonymity, after blocking someone you might wish to change your member name as they would otherwise still be able to see your new photos and reviews by visiting your profile on the website if they have the link.
        - If they have recorded some of the places you've previously reviewed they could still find your new account, but not be able to follow or contact you if you've done (3) above.

If all of these fail to meet your privacy needs, please do not delete your account. Instead, contact us and we can provide another alternative.
